And while the era is currently remembered for its grubby, brash aesthetic – all smudged eyeliner and Henry Holland slogan tees – the portraits of @rebeccazephyrthomas tell a slightly different story.⁠ ⁠ We Are Your Friends 01, a new zine by the Shoreditch-based, New Zealand-born photographer, documents The Underage Festival, an independent music festival that ran from 2007 to 2011 for 14 to 18-year-olds. ⁠ ⁠ The images, taken at the first events of ‘07 and ‘08, capture the halcyon days of the indie music scene, with teenagers splayed out in a sunny Victoria Park, decked in Minnie Mouse headbands and Peter Pan collars.
