(I did not sing the song cause I’m not good at singing ^^) I’ve been listing this beautiful ballad “That’s where I belong” since I was teenager. I was interested in piano sound when I was young and specially I was interested in piano cord sounds. I love bittersweet Gilberts’ cords in his songs. I cannot read music score nor cord score so that I needed to pick note by note over a long time to play this song. I asked my friend to compose other parts to make this video. Gilbert has not taken any piano lesson and he learned piano himself. So his play style is quite unique and It is hard to guess how he is actually playing piano in his song. It is hard to find playing information of Gilbert’s songs except his representative songs “Alone again” and “Clair”. Little information about Gilbert’s play information is very impatient thing for me.. Since I’m amateur player, it took very long time to play any of Gilbert’s song but I finally could play his song. I do not think it’s an exaggeration that to understand how Gilbert is playing my favorite songs is most interesting thing in my life. I like piano singer-songwriter since I was primary school student. My first favorite was Queen, then I was influenced by Billy Joel, Beatles, Elton John and Gilbert O'Sullivan in order. Spending time with their songs was great memory of my youth. Especially, I respect Gilbert so good, I visited UK only to see him and his live show. There are so many Gilbert’s great songs which is not enough to reaching to people. Paul McCartney says Gilbert is one of great melody maker. Gilberts great songs are always part of my life.
