Like a scene straight out of a samurai film, these mounted warriors are taking part in the Soma Nomaoi festival.🐎🐎🐎

A designated national important intangible folk cultural property, it’s said to have had its origins hundreds of years ago.

As the festival faces a shortage of local riders, organizers are seeking equestrians from outside the area to continue on the tradition.
