The textures might suggest the passage of time, but in reality their realization is wholly new. Research and development was an important aspect of the development of #DiorSS24 by @MariaGraziaChiuri, and Tuesday's runway show revealed leathers that alternately appear buffed, dulled and cracked, while coat cuffs seem threadbare, dresses speckled with holes, hems faded and ethereal fabrics frayed. In fact, it’s all an illusion, the result of combining a variety of innovative techniques and treatments that, together, imbue each piece with the vestiges of a characterful life.
