Japan's DJ MARIA. transports listeners into a deep state of ecstasy. In light of her debut at De School during Minimal Collective’s takeover on October 19th, we had a chat with this rising DJ and producer about her take on the art of listening to and crafting sound.
Her sets can be described as a meditative and experimental journey, creating an euphoric atmosphere within her performances. “There is a world of difference between listening to music in the dark and in the light”, she points out. After landing at venues such as Berghain and Bassiani, she is ready to take over the De School basement during our Minimal Collective gathering on October 19th.
