Located off the coast of northwest Africa, these eight islands are worlds in microcosm, each with its own landscapes, geological forms, and eccentricities. La Gomera’s vegetation is unique and unexpected. Lanzarote is lunar and beautifully stark. And when you catch the sunrise from the top of Tenerife’s Mount Teide, it’s incredible to watch the shadow of the volcano being cast out over the sea.
