Definitely getting folky as I get into the next albums groove … Interpol are in this week - what I consider to be the best opening track of a debut album ever - I saw @yeahyeahyeahs last week in Berlin, who were EPIC - and the support @we.are.jealous were really awesome too - and it led me to that doc “Meet Me In The Bathroom” - which led me back to my scratched, worn and overplayed copy of @interpol amazing first record - I cut a bunch of instrumentals and edits from this record to DJ with at the time … confusing both myself and clubland - but I just couldn’t help it - I hadn’t heard anything like it in 2002 - I couldn’t work out if it was goth, or gaze, or Indy - and I kinda love it when a record just confounds you so much you have to stop thinking - and then you can really dig it … I also saw the Yeahs around this time at the old Garage in Holloway Rd which was a real “I Was There” moment - I was there - I really was … I think I only attended because it was on my way home from work / the a&r frenzy was real ….
