With record-breaking hits including ‘Idol’ and ‘Into The Night’, iconic anime theme songs and an immersive literary outlook, YOASOBI have rocketed to the forefront of Japanese music – and the duo of Ikura and Ayase are more than ready to take on the world.

When asked to describe #YOASOBI’s magic in their own words, Ayase points to flexibility and joyous genre-agnosticism, definitive qualities of J-pop. “As YOASOBI, we are a unit that expresses that spirit – in that sense, aren’t we the J-pop band?”
