“Glued Breaks” / POPY OIL

Maison (MY) Labo.に併設されるギャラリースペース“無責任画廊”にて、クリエーター集団「OILWORKS(オイルワークス)」より動画・静止画家POPY OIL(ポピーオイル)氏の個展を開催。
ペンとハサミ、パソコンを駆使したミックスメディアスタイルでペインティングやコラージュ、映像、グラフィックデザインまで手掛け、“ディープかつ繊細で前衛的、少し狂ったようだ”と評されるPOPY OIL氏。
本個展では、各地にて開催されたアートショー「ILLEGULARS展」のメインデザインでも使用された、アクリルと金箔を用いた絵画作品“5ofar”をはじめ、一際目を引く代表的なコラージュ作品、無責任画廊にて初公開となる新作や未発表作品まで、一堂に展示いたします。

POPY OIL, video creator and painter from the creator group "OILWORKS" holds exhibition at at the gallery space 'Irresponsible Gallery' in Maison (MY) Labo.
POPY OIL is described as "deep, subtle, avant-garde, and a little bit crazy" with his mixed-media style using pen, scissors, and computer to create paintings, collages, videos, and graphic designs.
The exhibition features "5ofar," a painting using acrylic and gold leaf, which was also used as the main design for an art show "ILLEGULARS" held in Japan.
New and unreleased works will also be available.
