1889年創業 任天堂の旧本社社屋をリノベーションしたホテル “ 丸福樓／まるふくろう ” に宿泊して来ました。
和洋折衷のお手本のような建物は、独特でチャーミングな空気感を作っています。
創業当時はトランプや花札を製造販売していた任天堂が、こんなにこだわった空間を本社にしていたことに驚きました。こういう場所でスタッフが働いていたからこそ、世界の任天堂になる種を植える事になったのではないか？！と空間の大切さを改めて感じました。

I stayed at the hotel "Marufukuro", which was renovated from the former headquarters building of Nintendo, founded in 1889.
The building, which is a blend of Japanese and Western styles, creates a unique and charming atmosphere.
I was surprised that Nintendo, which manufactured and sold playing cards and Hanafuda (Japanese playing cards) when it was founded, had such a particular space as its headquarters. I guessed that it was because the staff worked in a place like this that the seeds of what would become the world's Nintendo were planted, and I was reminded of the importance of space.
