大英博物館さんのインスタグラム写真 - (大英博物館Instagram)「Made over 2,000 years ago, this bronze belt plaque is an early example of an iconic motif – a tiger attacking an ibex 🐯🦌 This is an ‘Ordos tiger’, named for the region inhabited by nomadic peoples living between the Mongolian steppe and the Yellow river. These groups popularised the use of plaques, which would have been worn on the belt, depicting tigers defeating other creatures. In traditional Chinese culture the tiger was a symbol of bravery.
