HERBIE(ハービー)レザー：
1911年創業の歴史あるタンナー、山陽社製のフルベジタブルタンニンレザーです。同社は日露戦争後に、軍需向けの革靴やベルト等を生産していた、品質にはお墨付きのタンナーです。北米産のミモザから抽出されたタンニンを使い、じっくりと時間をかけてピット層にて鞣されたレザーで、ハリがあり軽量ながら耐久性を兼ね備えています。仕上げには蝋引きも施しており、マットでムラのある表情が自然な無骨さを出しています。使い続けるうちに艶が出てきて顕著な経年変化が味わえます。
The leather is made from
raw hides from North America and tanned in pit tanks using tannin extracted from Mimosa bark.The finish is repeatedly waxed, which adds strength and majesty. The wax may appear whitish onthe surface of the leather at the beginning of use, but it develops a unique sheen and shine as it ages.
