It has been one week since the @sagaftra strike began (and 80 days since the writer strike began) so I asked @シンシア・ニクソン to help us understand why they are striking and what exactly is at stake.

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation operates an Emergency Financial Assistance Program for SAG-AFTRA members in urgent need — and there are thousands of members on strike who need help and will continue to need help as this strike goes on.

The Foundation is a charitable nonprofit that supports SAG-AFTRA artists with emergency financial assistance and educational programs and it relies entirely on donations.
