Fascinated by the work of German Renaissance master Albrecht Dürer, in ‘Capra Io Vedo, Capra Io Sono’ SALÓ reference ‘Witch Riding Backwards On A Goat’, using its stark imagery and themes to inspire a lengthy, lysergic jam. When the painting was created in the late 15th Century, witches were assumed to pervert the world’s natural order; Salò suggest that the occult arts were simply misunderstood by fearful onlookers, and reimagine an alternate folk history.
