Magnum x @icalondon Film Festival: Witnessing Gezi by @emin_ozmen 📽️⁠

From June 24–30, Magnum Photos is hosting its second film festival in the UK at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. ⁠
⁠
The festival showcases work by four Magnum photographers made in four locations: @newshatavakolian in Iran, Emin Özmen in Turkey, @susanmeiselas in Nicaragua and Sohrab Hura (@uglydogbooks) in India. ⁠

Each film will be shown alongside works by a range of filmmakers offering a concurrent or contrary view of the topics on display.⁠

Emin Özmen’s Witnessing Gezi, screening this Sunday, June 25, at 6:30 PM, documents the protests against the urban development plan for Taksim Gezi Park in Istanbul, Turkey. The film provides a deeply human perspective on the civil resistance that followed.⁠

Özmen’s film will be shown alongside Somnur Vardar’s (@somdediks) Drifting.⁠
