Introducing… ‘Windrush: Portraits of a Pioneering Generation’

Commissioned by The King (when Prince of Wales) last year, ten Windrush portraits have been created by ten Black artists in recognition of the tremendous impact of the Windrush Generation on the United Kingdom.

From today, the Windrush portraits, as part of the Royal Collection, will be displayed at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh from today, before moving to @nationalportraitgallery in London in October.
