The world's oceans have been populated by sea turtles for 200 million years, but the seven species that exist today are now all threatened with extinction. Essentially, they are threatened by human hunting for their eggs and meat. But sea turtles are also being hit by the increasing destruction of their habitats. All over the world, their nesting beaches are being developed with roads and hotel complexes, coral reefs are being damaged, and plastic waste is being dumped into the seas, where the turtles mistake it for their favorite food, jellyfish.

We are supporting the @turtle.foundation in their work of protecting these precious animals and making sure the baby sea turtles can make their way into the ocean after hatching.
