Our 1950s semi-detached houses, police houses and office and bowling green are opening on Friday, 9th June! 🎉 See 1950s family life in the semi-detached council houses that were chosen in a public vote to be replicated from Red House in Sunderland. Discover the police office and the sergeant’s and constable’s houses, replicated from Leam Lane in Gateshead. Have a go at bowls at the bowling green and pavilion recreated from John Whitehead Park in Billingham. Come and join the celebrations as the exhibits open in our 1950s Town at 11am on 9th June as part of our Remaking Beamish project. Thanks to money raised by National Lottery players, the Remaking Beamish project was awarded £10.9million by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in 2016.」6月3日 0時18分
