Among them, the Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI), which is the oldest LGBTQIA+ youth–serving organization in the US. In the 2008–09 school year, youth from HMI programs participated in Ralph Lauren Corporation’s Polo Fashion School program. In addition, The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation continuously supports Café HMI, a restaurant at the heart of the organization, combating hunger and food insecurity while connecting youth to social services.
