Filling your fountain pen correctly is an important step to guarantee a lifetime of writing pleasure with your Pelikan writing instrument. Keep these steps in mind, when filling the reservoir of your piston filling fountain pen:

Step 1: Before filling, move the piston forward by twisting the knob at the end of the pen to the left.
Step 2: Dip the nib completely into the ink up to the beginning of the grip section. Now slowly and evenly draw up the ink by turning the knob to the right.
Step 3: When the barrel is filled, let three drops drip back into the glass by turning the knob smoothly to the right.
Step 4: Now, hold the nib upright and turn the knob again to the left to soak the remaining ink out of the ink feeder.
