I work with my team to weed out bots and flippers using advanced-Shopify bot protection software and manually tracking flippers online, which we then block from future sales. The process is time-consuming and requires manpower for my team, but we do it to ensure that genuine fans get as many of the prints as possible. Flippers use new names, new IP addresses, and advanced software to bypass bot filters. We use a captcha system that helps to filter out bots but creates an extra step in the buying process. When many more orders than prints go through simultaneously, some customers will inevitably reach the checkout only to find the print has sold out. I’m very frustrated by bots and flippers too, but my team and I try to stop them as much as possible.
