Currently on display in Tokyo through 8 May as part of the #FendiHandInHand exhibition, four new #FendiBaguette iterations represent regional craftsmanship traditions from across Italy.

The participating artisans were personally selected by Silvia Venturini Fendi.

Representing Marche, Elena Ciarrocchi, an embroidery artist who restores and creates religious vestments, chose a mint green silk moirè to reproduce a symmetrical floral design.

In Veneto, the family-owned Ercole Moretti glass atelier on the island of Murano, handcrafted hundreds of beads in different shapes and threaded them across a crocheted bag.

For Emilia, the Pascucci family woodblock printing workshop restored an original set of antique tassel and floral motifs from their archive to be stamped onto raw hemp cloth.

Representing Basilicata, Marianna D'Aquino, who practices the art of decorative hand-knotted pile carpets on a frame loom, created a two-tone striped style in tufted wool and leather.
