【磐梯山（猪苗代町・磐梯町・北塩原村）】山開き：5月下旬頃

「磐梯山」は標高1,816メートルの福島県を代表する名峰。6つの登山口があり、360度を見渡せる山頂からは、猪苗代湖や磐梯吾妻スカイラインの景色が楽しめます。山開きの期間中は、磐梯山の山頂や周辺の登山道が一般に開放されます。

【安達太良山（二本松市・福島市・郡山市・猪苗代町・大玉村）】山開き：5月下旬頃

「安達太良山」は標高1,700メートルの県内有数の人気登山スポット。標高1,350メートルまでゴンドラを利用するコースは多くの方に親しまれています。山頂からは、磐梯山や猪苗代湖を一望できます。6月中旬からはレンゲツツジ、７月上旬からはハクサンシャクナゲが見頃になります。

【鬼ヶ城山（いわき市）】山開き：5月上旬頃

「鬼ヶ城山」は標高887メートルの山で「うつくしま百名山」にも選定され、山頂からは太平洋や那須連峰などを見渡すことができます。麓には宿泊やキャンプなどができる「いわきの里 鬼ヶ城」があり、子どもから大人まで楽しめる人気のスポットとなっています。

Mount Bandai (Inawashiro Town, Bandai Town, Kitashiobara Village): Opening in Late May
Mount Bandai is one of Fukushima Prefecture's most famous mountains, with a peak 1,816 meters above sea level. There are six trailheads leading to the summit, where you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Lake Inawashiro and the Bandai-Azuma Skyline. During the mountain-opening period, both the summit of Mount Bandai and the surrounding trails are open to the public.

Mount Adatara (Nihonmatsu City, Fukushima City, Koriyama City, Inawashiro Town, Otama Village): Opening in Late May
Mount Adatara, which is one of the most popular climbing spots in the prefecture, rises to an elevation of 1,700 meters above sea level. The gondola course that takes hikers up to 1,350 meters above sea level is a familiar route used by many visitors. From the summit, you can see Mt. Bandai and Lake Inawashiro. On the mountainside, the Renge azaleas are at their best from mid-June, and the Hakusan rhododendrons from early July.

Mount Onigajo (Iwaki City): Opening in Early May
Mount Onigajo stands 887 meters above sea level and has been selected as one of the Utsukushima Hyakumeizan (the list of a hundred famous mountains selected by Fukushima TV) and from the summit you can see the Pacific Ocean and the Nasu Mountains. At the foot of the mountain is Iwaki no Sato Onigajo, a hotel where visitors can stay overnight or camp, making it a popular spot for children and adults alike.
