Commissioned by Apple. Meet Daisy, a recycling robot who spends her days disassembling old iPhones.

During the recycling process, Daisy can recover a variety of rare-earth elements. Every 1 ton of components she salvages has the same amount of copper and gold as over 2,000 tons of newly mined rock. Many of these materials end up back in the supply chain, enabling Apple to use them again. Go Daisy.

Help keep Daisy busy—head to your nearest Apple store to recycle iPhones you’re no longer using.
