Her latest trip report reads: "The Southern California mountains have thrown everything at us thru-hikers: freezing temperatures, harsh winds, hail storms, intense river crossings, climbing over fallen trees, postholing through snow, getting lost, frozen socks and shoes, and so much more. But with it has also come endless beautiful wildflowers in the valleys, abundant water sources, trail angels who have brought us food and given us rides, and stunning snow-capped peaks.
