SUPER SURREAL. When I began studying design and art history in college, I was immediately drawn to the works of several surrealist and avant-garde artists, including Salvador Dali and Jean Cocteau. It was during this period that I was introduced to the work of Elsa Schiaparelli, and I have been a huge fan ever since. Over the years, I have collected many of her vintage pieces, as well as clothing and jewelry inspired by her creations. So when I was invited to her couture maison, it was a super surreal experience. It was amazing to witness how the incredibly talented Daniel Roseberry has revived Schiaparelli, making it both modern and insanely cool. What a day!! XK
