I joined the project for VOGUE US as one of ten designers inspired by Lagerfeld's visionary work to interpret it anew.
I re-designed Karl's CHANEL suit in my own way, which looks like a standard Chanel suit at first glance. Still, it has many details, such as embedded razor ornaments and chains in fabric and left seam allowance outside.
The fabric is Japanese tweed, which CHANEL uses as well.
The bag is into one with the glove.
The pants' back side has a grayed hair ponytail, which reminds me of Karl.
Though my design might look quiet compared to other designers' pieces, this is my homage look for Karl.

Vogue USの企画、10人のデザイナーがカールラガーフェルドを再解釈する、という企画に参加しました。
私はカールがデザインしたCHANELスーツを自分なりにリデザインしてみました。
一見普通のCHANELスーツですが、カミソリの刃とチェーンをフェルトに埋め込んだり、縫い代を表に出したり細かなディテールにこだわって作り上げました。
生地はCHANELも使用している日本製のツイードです。
バッグはグローブと一体型。
ヒップにはカールをイメージしたポニーテール付き。
他のデザイナーより地味に見えますが自分なりのカールオマージュになったと思っています。
