I also selfishly can’t wait to snuggle in his arms again and kick the girls back to their rooms ha! What sucked was the day he left, we exchanged the quickest goodbye thanks to the little carbon monoxide incident that happened the night before. The plan was to take him to the airport but my little ER field trip with the girls getting labs done took 4 hours longer than expected (everyone was fine!). It was just one of those moments in life when the timing of everything sucked and I could feel the devil’s presence trying to increase my anxiety and steal the joy from Stevie’s trip before it even started. Right before he took off, thank God my text went through that all our labs came back clear and we were on our way home so he could fly away in peace!!!! (Take that Satan 🙅🏻‍♀️) It’s amazing how time apart can make you appreciate the people who matter most. You get to recognize and miss their presence when they’re not there.
