What does it mean for you to take care of yourself? 💛

For me lately it has been learning how my body thrive the best way without having the pressure of performance in the back of my mind. I've found that slow mornings for me are very important for my health physically and mentally. I used to wake up for years having only 20min to drown my coffee, have breakfast and be out of the door ready for swimming. Now I wake up 2h before I have to be out of the door or even longer. I take my time to mindfully welcome the day in slowness. I don't have a 'full on' morning routine yet (I think I never will), because I'm what I would call "inconsistent", meaning I don't thrive well with routines. I thrive when I'm very intuitive about what I need everyday. I thrive when I let my body and mind have the freedom of choice to lean into what it needs on the given day. I know some people are exactly the opposite and there's no right or wrong way, there's only the way thay makes YOU FEEL GOOD 🙏🏼
Lesson here is to always listen to yourself first and create a connection of trust with yourself, before taking in outside information.
