Casting directors are not the actors enemy they are our teammates. Covid has made an already seemingly impossible industry even harder. It changed the entire landscape of auditioning. Over the last few years some bridges have been burned and will need to be rebuilt. There will need to be fixes to find a new way forward but just know casting directors want to find them and actors need to meet them half way. These issues are not something that can or should be placed on casting directors shoulders alone. There are many contributing factors to the way things are post covid that we are all at the mercy of. And like i mentioned earlier about unfortunate decisions/mistakes portion of the video….I want to be clear that I don’t think anyone has gotten into casting bc they hate/dislike actors. We are all just trying to make this work and we’re in this together. This is definitely a bigger conversation than a 2 minute Instagram clip and people are already starting to have them.
