The news that no athlete wants to hear came in: My season is over :( I thought I could wear my superhero cape and be back like it was nothing, but unfortunately, I need a couple of months of rehab. It saddens me to leave my teammates and the tour with the impression of not having completed what I started. I was having the best season of my career so far and having so much fun this year. but I’m very happy to walk away with 3 golds, 2 silver and 2 bronzes and happy with my progress. Truth is the past 12 months were intense. From the Olympics to the Worlds, it was a roller-coaster not only of fun moments, but also of big trainings and not stopping. I might have stretched the rubber band too far.
