Well where do I start, the last couple of months I’ve been working on starting the next chapter in my life and enjoying every little bit of it. And yes I’ve known for a little bit and it is bit late but I’m glad to have made that decision.

From a young kid in Noosa never knowing what I would have achieved now makes me grateful for the opportunities that I’ve been given and that is thanking my family, coaches and friends all contributed in the journey I have been along. To walk away from the sport has been hard but also knowing that there is a new chapter ahead.

To the coaches that I had Brian Sterh who always believed in me and gave me every opportunity, to Chris money and Mark McKean who pushed me to achieve my dreams not only to make an Australian team but also making Olympic, Commonwealth Games and world championship teams to mick palfrey who helped me through my final stages in my career and apologies if there’s anyone that I have missed want to thank you as well but it has been one hell of a ride

To my teammates who I have swam with and to the people who have contributed, you know who you are i’m grateful to have and to be a part of which feels like a second family.

I want to thank @speedoausnz they have been so generous and helpful and a part of my journey to help me throughout my swimming career
To @uscsport @uscspartans they’ve played a massive part in developing a great facility on the Sunshine Coast and hopefully will continue to grow.

And finally to my partner @amber_reyn she has seen the last little bit of my journey which has been a rollercoaster but can’t wait to begin the next stage in our life.
