For Berluti, shoe-polishing is more than just care; it’s a mindful ritual, passed down from generation to generation and taught in workshops at the rue Marbeuf store in Paris. And, this season, you can replicate the four-step polishing process with our video tutorial:
1. Prepare your pair with your shoe tree, brush the dust from the leather with a clean cloth and polish along the edge of the sole.
2. Strip old wax by applying clear conditioning fluid. Work carefully on the wear creases.
3. Waterproof your shoes by applying a layer of polish in circular motions, using a clean cloth.
4. Finally, work the shoe polish deep into the leather with circular movements. The leather will gleam.
