Today’s #rolemodelmonday is the abundantly talented @pilarwinterhill. Pilar began playing violin at age 6, and by age 9, was accepted into Juilliard Pre-College (becoming arguably the first African-American Female Violinist to gain admission to this World Renowned Program).  By age 13, she became the first African-American Major Prizewinner in an International Violin Competition.  She has won Top Prizes in several distinguished competitions and continues to dazzle with her skills. Aware that many African-American females have often been underrepresented in the field of Classical Music, Pilar aspires to become a beacon of inspiration to others around the world.
