Incredible skates guys! Watching the Oly’s and having some reflection, I wanted to share my thoughts about U.S. Nationals. I could not have had a more rewarding short program result in what I felt was an outstanding men’s competition. That performance was so satisfying for me considering the road I’d been on all year to that point, so it was a special moment for me. As for the long: a persistent and increasingly painful leg & ankle problem I battled all season had other ideas, and definitely different plans for me that day. As much as I wanted to perform in response to the incredible support of the fans, which I have never felt anywhere before, I ultimately did not feel stable enough to push through my long program. I like to think I ended my season on a high note the night before and now look forward to rehab my ankle and resume training for next season.
