He is one of the top illustrators in the Tokyo Illustrators Society. Since the early 1990s, he has been working for advertising, corporate campaigns etc. He features works depicting cute and energetic girls made from simple lines and compositions painted in acrylic, oil, and CG in his artworks. In 1992, SHIRANE's art started to evolve into simplified lines and colors we appreciated. He also assists his friend in the comics field since 2011. He has been participating in various exhibitions and holds many solo exhibitions. He also participated in various crossover projects with the music, fashion industry and was introduced to magazines in Japan.
