Being young we always chose a means to stand out. To be the razor blades cutting against the grain of social infrastructure. Playing basketball and watching the older kids play. It provided us a space for self-expression and individuality. When we went to play ball, that’s when we felt the most free. We did whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted, and however we wanted. We felt unbound by the laws enforced by society. Young, wild, and free.
