Because nothing says #bivisibilityday like me wearing onion goggles (no joke, these are a GAME CHANGER- I used to cut my fingers from the inordinate weeping) whilst listening to this week’s @comingoutpod about #bisexuality 💜💙💖🏳️‍🌈 (side note last week’s @comingoutpod with @maggietielker on other subjects was also v. great). I sometimes hear “oh Kirsten, who cares that you are bi/ why share it/ I don’t care” stuff- and you might not. I say it because I care. It’s a part of me that I am proud of but also a part of me I have felt shame about, the more open I am with it the less shame I have felt. A side benefit of me being open about it, it may help others feel great about how they show up too. The more open we are about ourselves to ourselves the kinder we can be to ourselves and then to other selves. Being kind to all the selves is totally my jam and so I say with a heartfelt thumb up: Happy #bivisibilityweek 💜💖💙
