When I see this photo I see years of training, strength, determination and excellence. I made this body my tool for my passion and I am so proud of everything it has done for me. I experienced the insane double standard the world has for women celebrating their bodies versus men. A man’s body is celebrated for the hard work put into it, people leave room to discuss how long they have to work out in the gym to look like that, or how fast or strong they are. I felt that there was much less space for that conversation as a woman, and was consistently told I was a sell out, or thirsty for attention. A friendly, naked reminder that if it isn’t your body, it’s not your problem.
