Moments ago, Standing Voice spoke directly to the 46th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Bonface Massah, our Country Director in Malawi, addressed delegates across the globe with an urgent video message. His words come just weeks after the murder of a 26-year-old man with albinism and the attempted abduction of a 12-year-old girl with albinism in Malawi.
Like everybody at Standing Voice, Bonface has been horrified by the recent resurgence of witchcraft-related killings and attacks against people with albinism in Malawi. His message is a powerful reminder of our collective obligation to empower and defend people with albinism until their rights are universally respected.
