I am missing my dad more than ever. It’s so unfair that we lose people who are so good and we love so much. I will always wonder why this had to happen to me and my family. I may never find the answer. However, I do know that the reason that I grieve so hard for him is because of the love that he gave me and that I gave him. For that, I am forever grateful. The love and support that he raised with me with is why I am here today. I continue to feel it each day. Knowing he is still holding my hand tight is one of the things that helps me get through times of hardship. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I was searching for a man to spend the rest of my life with, I knew I wanted to be with someone who I could raise children with in the same light that my parents did. I am thankful to have found that partner in Timmy. When I see Timmy and Sonny together it warms my heart in a way that I really can’t explain. The silly noises, crazy dance moves, belly filled laughs, splashes in the pool, cuddles during book time – each moment shared with them is one I will cherish for the rest of my life. We are raising Sonny so he knows that we will love him unconditionally through the good and bad and support his dreams no matter how many times they change.
