Photo by Stephen Alvarez @salvarezphoto / An engraved jaguar at the Three Rivers Petroglyph Site north of Tularosa, New Mexico. Three Rivers stands out for its more than 21,000 individual Jornada Mogollon–style rock art engravings. The Mogollon culture flourished in southwest North America from the year 200 until 1450. The culture is known for the visual sophistication of its artwork. This image is part of my work for the nonprofit @ancientartarchive. We share and preserve humanity's oldest stories.
