HALO is not only a cause, but a community that is near and dear to my heart. I am so excited for the world to get to know one very special person from the HALO community: Marjai. ⁣

I met Marjai when she was 13 years old at the HALO center in Kansas City. From this young age, she was already using poetry and writing to transform her experiences and share them with others. It has been a such a gift to watch her grow into the woman she is today. Now a college student, she passes on her talents in workshops with other HALO youth. Her story of resilience is nothing short of awe-inspiring. ⁣
