The stereotype in society today is that women are Flight Attendants and men are Pilots. As a Black woman in aviation, I can say that I am both. However, even though I have traveled the world, most of my obstacles and challenges have come from me being a Black female Pilot.  So what are some ways that I've found support from the people around me? Well, I would say that you should have a mentor or two! I surround myself with people I ask the hard questions to and aviators that have had more experience than myself. In turn, I mentor other aspiring aviators to follow their dreams.   Black History Month celebrates the legacy and culture that set the foundation for the future. I look up to notable aviators such as Bessie Coleman and Delta's First African-American Captain, Stephanie Johnson.
