The Imperial Hotel Lion

The corporate signature of the Imperial Hotel spotlights a lion steering the wheel of a boat. This symbol came into use at the end of the Meiji Period, followed by several adjusted versions, and was finalized in its present form 55 years ago. "For guests arriving after a lengthy journey, it is our wish to provide them with the highest level of comfort and to make sure each guest feels thoroughly at home."
