Will they come out of retirement for ‘one more time’? Who knows? Either way, their announcement has given everybody a chance, especially us, to reflect on what they’ve given us, and what we’ll be missing. Their 2007 Alive show was personally life changing, and continues to influence the ways in which we put our shows, and songs together. We make continuous references, and draw from 25 year old Daft Punk songs which still sound better produced, and more futuristic than most of what we hear today. If this really is the end of the road for them, then most importantly we want to say ‘thank you’ to Thomas and Guy-Manuel, in forging a path, for what is possible, while hugely inspiring two more electronic producers in funny hats. ♥️🤖」2月26日 16時11分
