Even after 66% of Floridians voted to pass Amendment 4, Florida's legislators ignored the will of the people, creating more financial barriers. These democracy deniers forced poor people to choose between feeding their families or paying for the right to vote. Where other people see obstacles, we see opportunities. Through our advocacy work in 2020, we raised more than $27 million to pay the fines and fees of over 40,000 returning citizens.
