At Blue Bottle, we’re often drawn to buildings with deep history. This week, we opened our newest New York City cafe, at Moynihan Train Hall, designed, like the original Penn Station, by the legendary Beaux Arts architectural firm McKim, Mead & White. ⁠⁠

When designing the kiosk, our architectural partners @bohlincywinskijackson chose materials that would complement the train hall’s existing Quaker Gray marble floor, vaulted ceilings, and a truss system that was uncovered after nearly a century. We further embraced the gray color palette by wrapping our kiosk with oxidized maple wood, which has an elegant patina with a crisp feel.⁠⁠
