In Guanajuato’s San Miguel de Allende, an artisan collective called Arte Bicentenario employs 50 sculptors and 80 painters. Together they practice "talavera," the process of crafting and painting terracotta pottery by hand. This video is part of West Elm’s La Mesa collection, a partnership with 8 artisan groups across Mexico to celebrate Mexican culture and create sustainable income for 510 local artisans, helping preserve their heritage craft techniques.
