Texas and its neighboring states have experienced a deep freeze caused by winter storms that left millions without heat, electricity, and water. At least 69 deaths have been recorded due to this weather, and 7 million people have been ordered to boil their water before drinking it, according to @apnews. The White House announced on Feb. 20 that President Joe Biden had declared a major disaster in Texas, and requested that federal agencies identify additional resources to address the situation on the ground. In these Feb. 20 photographs: Rodney Roberts fills a bucket with pool water to fill his toilets in Mineral Wells, Texas; volunteers direct traffic as they pass out water in Houston, and an aerial view of cars lining up for water distribution in Houston.
